Robin Raspberry Grey

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He always drinks Earl Grey so I’m always looking for new Earl Grey teas with different flavors. He really likes it. Says it’s Earl Grey with a little more something extra. The raspberry flavor is a nice amount, not overwhelming but still able to be tasted.

The moment I open the tin, I’m greeted by a luscious blend of raspberry and citrus drifting over a deep black tea base. I brewed two teaspoons in my large cup at 212°F for five minutes, and the fragrance fills the room like a gentle wake-up call. Each sip is cheerful and full-bodied — the strength of black tea, the elegance of Earl Grey, and the juicy sweetness of raspberry all in perfect harmony. It’s cozy yet vibrant, the kind of cup that makes the morning feel a little more special.

Today, I had the pleasure of sampling Birdsong Robin raspberry grey tea a beautiful organic tea. Upon initial assessment, I detected the aroma of fresh raspberries accompanied by a hint of orange peel. As I sipped the tea, the raspberry flavor emerged first, followed by the bright, citrusy notes of orange and bergamot. These flavors harmonized exceptionally well, with the robust yet balanced black tea notes providing a suitable backdrop for the raspberry, orange, and bergamot flavors. I added sugar to my tea, which enhanced the overall flavor profile. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this tea and can envision it as a refreshing iced tea. Lovers of flavored Earl Grey teas will undoubtedly appreciate this tea.

When brewed hot this is such a nice earl grey! This is a very nostalgic feeling tea, and if you grew up with a black tea with raspberry, you will love this one. The earl grey base makes this one shine, and the addition of raspberry is so zingy! This is a really unique spin on an earl grey, and I absolutely love it. So fruity, and also so smooth.

I was also able to try this with milk (although, I am dairy free, so my “milk” is soy milk). This was so amazingly delicious. It almost tasted like a raspberry candy. Probably my favorite way to have this one.

The day I tried this one as a cold brew it was a fairly toasty spring day; so, this was very refreshing and juicy. I’d say cold brewed, with two “perfect tea spoons”, you can really taste the raspberry note and less of the earl grey note. It was still smooth. I cannot wait to continue to drink this one on those upcoming hot days!

This is a very delicious take on an earl-grey and I highly recommend it!!
