Nightingale Lavender Chai

I made this on the stovetop with water and milk before straining out the tea and adding sugar. I tried this both hot and iced and I love it both ways! This is such a beautiful floral chai! This chai is a little on the milder side, for those who like a less spicy chai. The chai spices are still present without being overwhelming, and this really allows the lavender (which is more predominant) and the rose floral notes to come through. The sugar coaxes out the floral notes even more and I love how the mellow chai spices linger in the background. The black tea in the blend too also seems a little mellow but still very enjoyable! Having said all that, this blend is still very flavorful! I would recommend this to anyone who loves floral chai blends that aren’t as spicy.

First of all, the name and packaging of Nightingale Lavender Chai instantly drew me in. It’s elegant, calming, and beautifully in tune with the bird theme that Birdsong Tea is known for. The nightingale has long been a symbol of beauty, inspiration, and finding light in the dark. Its song is said to bring comfort and renewal, much like the feeling this tea evokes from the very first sip.

The scent alone is enough to make you pause and take a deep breath: warm notes of cinnamon, ginger, and clove mingle with the soft floral tones of lavender and rose. The first sip delivers a full-bodied black tea base with a balanced mix of mild floral spice and gentle sweetness, creating a comforting, cup that feels both grounding and soothing.

This tea was so pretty! I loved seeing all of the flowes in it. This had a delicate flavor that perfectly balanced the floral notes with the warm spices. It was more lavender forward, and it had a nice kick from the ginger. Once it cooled down, I was able to taste more of the rose. There was a gentle sweetness already, so I didn't need to add anything to this. There's just something about this chai that feels so elegant and indulgent. I really enjoyed this one! Highly recommend!

This blend is a really unique variation on tour typical chai. The lavender comes forward first—soft, floral, and calming—then the familiar chai spices settle in, warming from the inside out and lingers gently at the end, like a little reminder of comfort.

I added a splash of cream, which mellowed the floral notes and made it feel even cozier. It’s a lovely balance of soothing and spicy, the kind of tea that feels both comforting and just a bit elegant. Perfect for the end of the day or just a break in my hectic schedule to help me slow down.
